The brand was running Shopify with three separate inventory management plugins that frequently fell out of sync with each other. Returns processing was entirely manual — a team member would update inventory by hand after each return was inspected. At their scale (~800 orders/month), the inventory discrepancy rate had reached 8%, which was showing up as customer complaints about out-of-stock items being ordered.

Outcome

Inventory discrepancy rate dropped from 8% to under 1% within the first two months. Returns processing time reduced from 2–3 days to same-day. The team retired the three plugins, reducing their Shopify app spend by ₹18,000/year as a side benefit.

A manufacturing company with 4 warehouses, Noida

Stock in transit between warehouses was invisible for days at a time — goods marked dispatched from one location wouldn't be acknowledged received at the other until a manager called to ask. Mis-picks were causing a 6% customer return rate that the operations head could not trace to a root cause because there was no picking record. All counts were manual, meaning discrepancy investigations required physically re-counting entire bays.

Outcome

Mis-pick rate dropped from 6% to under 0.8% within the first two months. Inter-warehouse transfer discrepancies that previously triggered 40-hour-per-month investigations dropped to under 5. The Tally sync eliminated the manual data entry role entirely, freeing that person for value-adding work. The operations head now has a live dashboard showing stock by location across all four warehouses without calling anyone.
